The Shickshinny Vol. Fire Company was incorporated in May of 1900. We have been providing 100% FREE professional service to you, the community, for over 100 years. The company has grown since establishment, and will continue the grow well into the future.
We currently have around 25 active members that work hard to complete necessary tasks essential for the fire service. We have bills to pay like any homeowner, and rely heavily on donations and fund raising to keep the company in operation.
If it wasn't for the public's help, we would not be able to provide for our community.
We run an average of 150 calls per year, providing automatic coverage to Shickshinny Borough, as well as Union Township. We provide mutual aid into Hunington Twp., Hunlock Twp., Saleam Twp., Mocanaqua, and Newport Twp.
We are constantly training and responding to make sure that our promise to serve the community is kept.
